Freshly baked bread must be one of the nicest smells in the world. Baking bread from scratch is also one of the most satisfying things in the world. I feel like, if you can master the art of bread making you are winning at life.

So the Great British Bake Off returned to our screens last week! Eep! I was one of the millions of people who eagerly tuned in for the first episode of the popular show. It is great to have it back on our screens. I think any program that encourages people to get back in the kitchen is a great thing!

Macaroon Masterclass!
So a couple of months ago I treated a good friend of mine to a Macaroon Making class for her birthday. She loves cooking and has been dying to learn how to make these beautiful french biscuits. I have attempted macaroons at home before, but have never been able to get them quite right. Mine turned out too grainy and for the life of me I couldn’t work out how to make them smooth and pretty as I have seen in bakeries!
